Passed away June 1, 2021. Survived by her husband Moris Latypov, children Azat and Ilguiz, brother Airat and grandchildren. Predeceased by her mother Muhsina, father Hatmulla and by her stepfather Gasim.
Roza took astrophysics at Kazan University, Russia. She earned a degree of Candidate of Science, similar to a Ph.D., and worked as a researcher and a professor of physics. She played piano and collected local art.
Special thanks to Elmira, Ilguiz’s partner, for breaking the silent male circle around Roza. Paramed support workers came every day for many last months.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, to attend the visitation for Roza, personal face coverings are required, and relatives and friends must register (RSVP) at www.erbgood.com or by calling the funeral home. Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. A private family-only service will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at 1 p.m. Family and friends are invited to view the livestream and recording of the service at www.erbgood.com by clicking her name.
