Roy’s Obituary
CHUTE, Roy Rupert ~ Age 83, of Tremont, Kings Co., passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021, in Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Wolfville, he was a son of the late Mark H. and Edith M. (Pierce) Chute. Roy was a licensed mechanic, having worked for Milnes Garage, Howard Marshall, and then Jack Turner. Later known as Kinsman’s. He also went to Ontario picking tobacco and was a bus driver for many years. Roy and Noreen ran their own farm and apple orchard. In his spare time, when not working, he loved being in the outdoors with time spent in the woods, fishing, hunting, trapping and being at the lake. He and Noreen attended “The World’s Fair” in Tremont every year and in the winter months Roy, friends and family loved snowmobiling. He had a nickname for pretty well everyone and a serious but, funny attitude. Surviving are sons, Robert Chute, Tremont; Laurie Chute, Harmony; grandchildren, Melissa, Sam, Mackenzie and Miranda; great-grandchildren, Timothy, Scarlett, Jackson, Parker and Everly; sister, Debbie (Michael) Sweet, Lower Sackville; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, the former Noreen M. Lutz, birth father Lester Veinot, and brothers; Stanley and Ralph Veinot. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service. Donations in his memory may be made to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia, Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to Victorian Order of Nurses – Annapolis Valley Branch.
