Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Rosalie Elaine Ingersoll, loving wife of the late William Ingersoll, announce her peaceful passing at home on Saturday, January 23, 2021. She was born in 1941 in Lakeville Corner, NB to the late Joe and Iva (Briggs) Downey. Rosalie worked in Customer Service for many years at the former Dominion Store and the Superstore. She enjoyed curling, bowling, progressive rummy, phase 10 and camping in South Oromocto Lake.
She will be deeply missed by her son Billy; daughters Tammy Bizeau (John), Cindy (Darren) Sanford and Kelly Ingersoll; sisters Patty Palmer, Dianne Garland and Colleen (Raymond) Savoie; sister-in-law Bev Downey; 9 grandchildren, Matthew (Caroline), Joseph (Tyler), Shane (Amanda), Kayla (John), Emily, Katelyn, Cody (Lindsay), Chelsie and Tanner; several great-grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother Gary Downey and sister Judy Rimmer.
Special thanks to the staff of Saint John Extra Mural for the wonderful care given to Rosalie.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Due to the current pandemic, services for Rosalie will be held at a later date. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of one’s choice.
