Ronald Victor Wellington passed away peacefully at Lakeland Long Term Care, on Monday, October 11th, 2021. Age 92 years.
Predeceased by parents Victor and Pearl Wellington. Loving father of Jody and her husband David Brunatti. Cherished grandpa of Andrew and his wife Marisa, and Kira and her husband Jake Muir. Dear brother of Marilyn, and the late Harvey, Eileen, and Henry. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
An all-round athlete throughout his high school years, Pete enjoyed football, rugby, hockey, and baseball. Pete’s love of sports was carried through into his adult life – every year he made the best skating rink in his own backyard; kids came from around the block to skate! Pete was a Navy Cadet and served in Korea. He was a long-time member of the Legion and Navy Club in Sarnia and then in Parry Sound.
A sincere thank-you to Dr. Phebe Gray and the staff at Lakeland Long Term Care (Lake Rosseau) for their care and compassion.
A private family interment will be held at Blackwell Cemetery, Sarnia.
