It is with
sadness we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Kerton on April 12,
2021. Born on November 3, 1942 in Fredericton NB he was the son of the
late Robert and Mildred (MacMillan)
Kerton.
After his
mother’s sudden passing he became a ward of his aunt and
uncle Ruth (MacMillan) and Gene Munn.
Bob spent a
wonderful childhood in
Napadogan,
NB. He graduated from Stanley High School and then went on to Teachers
College in Fredericton. After teaching for a few years, he then
decided to join the RCAF retiring after twenty-five years of service
as a navigator.
Bob is survived
by his loving wife of fifty-two years Patricia Ann (Grimwood) Kerton,
son Charles (Joanne) Kerton, grandson Matthew Kerton and granddaughter
Laura Kerton all of Ames Iowa USA, brothers Douglas (Nellie) Kerton
and Neal (Carolyn) Kerton, special cousins Allan (Lottie) Munn, and
Anne (Larry) Sherrard, stepbrothers Lloyd (Alice) Sinclair, George
(Mary) Sinclair.
Besides his
parents, Bob was predeceased by his brother Angus Kerton, special
cousin Irwin Munn, aunt and uncle Ruth and Gene Munn, stepmother Flory
(Legassie) (Sinclair) Kerton, stepsister Barb (Lloyd)
Jewett.
The family will receive
friends and visitors at Bishops
Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton, on Thursday April 15th, 2021
from 1-1:45 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2PM in the funeral
home chapel with Father Bill Brennan officiating. Covid-19 guidelines
and procedures will be carried out at all times. Interment will take
place in Montreal Quebec at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions in Bob’s memory can be made to a charity of
the donor’s choice.

arrangements.
