CAREY, Robert John
It is with great sadness we announce Bob’s peaceful passing on December 14, 2021 after complications from surgery became too great for him. Bob is predeceased by his parents Robert Allan Carey and Evelyn Lorraine Cassidy and by his step-daughter Nancy Wilson. He will be greatly missed by his close siblings Charlene (Bruce†) and Bill (Karen). Bob also held a special place in his heart for his long time friend Marilyn Dunn.
Over the years, Bob enjoyed the time he was able to spend with his nieces and nephews, Tammy, Stephanie, James and Allan and Kevin, Kim, Thomas and Brianne forming unique relationships with each of them. Bob was especially appreciative of both Kim and Brianne who gave freely of their time to help make the last few years of his life just a little more enjoyable. He was a lover of animals particularly Dobermans and horses. Bob had a special knack with horses and was sometimes known as a horse whisperer. He had many struggles in life but always fought to overcome them. He worked many jobs over his lifetime and always gave 110% to each one. Bob was a fighter all the way. Unfortunately, this was a fight he wasn’t to win. Rest easy now Bob. We love you and miss you already. xoxo
A Graveside Service will be held at Millgrove Cemetery on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 12 p.m., Rev. Dr. Robin Wilkie officiating.
Donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
