Robert (Bob)’s Obituary
Due to complications from the COVID-19 virus, Bob passed peacefully from this life on August 31, 2021 in his 88th year at the Brantford General Hospital. Predeceased by his beloved wife Barbara Jean Graham (2008) and his parents Thelma (Weeks) (1994) and James Graham (2005) to whom he was an only child.
Cherished father of Deborah Robinson (Paul), Beauharnois, QC., Betty Colbran (Bryan), Princeton; and Paula Johnson (Mike), Princeton. Survived by his grandchildren Vicki (Darwin), Liz (John), Dustin, Daniel (Nicole), Kathleen, Nicolas (Jasmine), Rebecca (Corey) and Jacob and great-grandchildren Wyatt, Megan, Andrew and Amy. Bob will be greatly missed by his Special friend Norma Sevier of Princeton. He will also be fondly remembered by Cousins Wim, Beatrice & Charles and many friends & neighbours for his great stories and witty humour.
Bob lived at Showers Corners from the age of 4 until he downsized to Princeton in his later retirement years followed by Park Lane Terrace, Paris. In his younger years, Bob beat the odds of Polio and pursued careers in the Manufacturing of Massey Harris Tractors in Brantford, Truck driving for K.F. Marshall Aggregates hauling loads for the completion of Hwy 401 Toronto to Windsor corridor and Pearson Int’l Airport Terminal 2 amongst other destinations. He was also a licensed Crane Operator and Trailer Mechanic at Alcan Homes in Woodstock all the while following his passion of farming on the Graham Homestead with his parents at Showers Corners. As a young man Bob played village hockey and baseball in Princeton, not as a star, but as a participant who enjoyed the games.
A heartfelt thank-you to all the staff at Park Lane Terrace for their excellent care and the 6th floor staff at Brantford General Hospital for their outstanding efforts and compassion to Dad and the family during this difficult time.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the DWAYNE D. BUDGELL Funeral Home Ltd. A Private Family Graveside Service will be held in the Caledon Cemetery.
