Rick Daoust dedicated his life to taking care of his family. His professional career as an autoworker at the FORD motor company spanned 36 years. Rick, a lover of rock music, spent his spare time travelling with his wife Suzanne. He was an avid fisherman with a special love for deep sea fishing. Rick was a passionate sports enthusiast who’s Raiders & Flyers got most of his attention.
Rick’s larger than life personality was infectious and he made friends wherever he went. If you ask any of the large number of long time close buddies, he was certainly a man that you wanted to have on your side.
After a short battle with cancer Rick passed away this past Saturday June 12th 2021 peacefully just before 7 pm at the age of 57. His beloved wife Suzanne was by his side, along with daughters Danielle & Renee.
Devoted husband and best friend of more than 25years to his wife Suzanne (O’Reilly), loving father to Danielle Casselman (Matt) and Renee Daoust. Dear son of Betty & Ron Daoust and beloved brother of Jack Daoust (Kym). Dearly missed by nieces and nephews Cherysh (Chris) Jakeob (Sarah) & Gabryel. Special son in law in to Anne & Frank O’Reilly brother in law to Mike O’Reilly, uncle to Seamus. He will also be missed by many extended family members in Timmins, Ontario.
Because of Rick’s love for animals, in particular his beloved dog Floydee, contributions to the Lincoln County Humane Society
A private family ceremony will take place in the coming days.
