The family announces with great sorrow his passing at his residence in Sudbury on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at the age of 51 years. Son of Jonas “Joe” and of Suzanne “Sue” (née Blais) Barnes. Beloved husband of Josie (née Clements) Barnes. Loving father of Eric (Melissa) and Shawn. Cherished grandfather of Amber and Logan. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Richard enjoyed camping and fishing. The family will receive relatives and friends by invitation only for a scheduled visitation at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd., Sudbury on Monday, March 8, 2021. Due to the pandemic masks are mandatory and there will be a limitation on the number of attendees permitted at the funeral home. A private family funeral service will be celebrated.
