She is survived by her children; Richard (Peggy), MaryAnna (Rudy Ouwehand), Ronald (Margaret), John (Sandra), Phillip; and 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 3 sisters-in-law, Teena (John), Shirley (Peter), Mary (Frank) and extended family.
Rennie is predeceased by her husband Sid (1987) and by her daughter Nancy (1979).
Rennie Westergreen was born in Oldekerk, Groningen, Netherlands to Klaas and Tina Stol, the oldest of seven children. In 1948, they immigrated to Lethbridge, Alberta where she met our dad, Sid Westergreen. They were married in 1949 and together raised six children. Mom enjoyed having chickens and delivering eggs to her neighbours in Lacombe. She spent many hours knitting, crocheting and braiding rugs, which became gifts to many visitors. Our mom was an avid Yahtzee player. Being part of the Woody Nook church was her lifeline and she was blessed by her many friends.
