“On Dec. 9, 2021, mom got her wings and went to walk with the angels.”
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Regina Mary Hinks (nee Gallant) announce her peaceful passing in her sleep at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, NL with her son Daniel at her bedside. She was 90 years young.
Regina will be forever loved and remembered by her husband Richard and her 7 children: Terry (Linda), Robert (Lorraine), Daniel (Marcia), Brendan (Kelly), Karen, Colleen, Greg (Paula); her beloved 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Regina also leaves to mourn her brothers: Gary Gallant (Chilliwack, BC), Kevin Hines (St. George’s, NL) and sister Dorreen Hines (Dartmouth, NS).
The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Sheila Dwyer and all the attending physicians, nursing staff and student nurses at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital as well as the Community Health Nurses Shauna and Katie for their dedicated support and loving care for mom.
Also a heartfelt thank you to extended family and friends, especially Tony & Star Gallant, Allan & Marlene Farrell, Kevin Hines, Joyce & Dook Kim for their ongoing support and prayers during this difficult time.
To honour and respect Regina’s wishes, cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium, Pasadena, NL. A funeral mass will take place at St. Joseph’s Church, St. George’s, NL on Monday, December 13, 2021 with Father Edmund Dantes officiating. Following the service inurnment will take place in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Shallop Cove, NL. Please follow all Covid 19 protocols. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Parish.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
