Black Rock- Regina Frances Whelton, wife of the late Basil Whelton, of Black Rock, passed away on Saturday July 17, 2021, at her residence, at the age of 99.
Born in Pokeshaw, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Madden and the late Violet Murphy.
She is survived by two daughters: Glena (Clarence O’Hearn) from Pokeshaw and Karen (Ulric Landry) from Bathurst; three sons: James, from Heron Bay Ont, Basil, from Black Rock and Roland (Mitzi) from Canobie; 11 grand-children, 14 great-grand-children and three great-great-grand-children, and by her sister, Carmel Dussault (Camille) from Petit-Rocher.
Besides her husband, she was pre-deceased by three sons: Wayne, Kenneth and Keith; two sisters: Mildred and Bernadine; and two brothers: Harold and Leo.
There will be no visitations at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday July 21st, 2021 at 11 a.m.at the St-Simon & St-Jude Church in Grande-Anse.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of LeGresley’s Funeral Home.
