Obituary for
Raymond Der
On September 3, 2021 Raymond Der of Edmonton, formerly of Unity, Saskatchewan, passed away at age 66 years.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Angel Lee; brothers, Ken (Annie), Gordon (Janice) and Patrick (Pearl); nieces and nephews, Kristin (Eric), Nathan (Anna), Eric (Oesa), Larissa (Chi), Joey (Dayna), Brian (Mallory), Lindsay and Caitlin; and numerous cousins and extended family members.
Raymond is predeceased by his parents, Joe and Toy.
Raymond retired from the City of Edmonton IT Department in 2020. He was a “Mr. Fix it”; if it was broken, he would fix it, whether it be appliances, cars or home improvements.
He had a passion for cooking, gardening and a love of music. He loved to “jam” with his buddies. Raymond was a kind and generous human being who touched the lives of many people. He will be forever loved and remembered by his family and many friends.
Raymond’s family would like to thank the many staff and volunteers at the Cross Cancer Clinic and the Edmonton General Hospice Centre.
A Visitation will be held for family and friends to pay their respects on Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Park Memorial, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. Cremation to follow.
In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
