Raymond « Ray » Douglas Hubley
Raymond « Ray » D.
Hubley, 71, of Moncton, passed away, unexpectedly, within the comforts
of his home with his TV on and surrounded by his furry friends on
Wednesday, March 17, 2021.
Born in Moncton, he was the son
of the late William Hubley and Dirkje Classina van
Ginkel.
Ray was a retired Police
Officer, having worked with the Moncton Police Force from 1973 to
1998. During that time, he took on a supervisory role as a Corporal.
Then transferring over to the Moncton Codiac RCMP, where he worked
from 1998 until his retirement in 2004.
Ray will be sadly missed by his
wife of 47 years, Noreen (McKearney) Hubley of Moncton; cherished
daughters, Heather Morgan (Paul), Shannon Hubley and Allison Wood
(Tyler); loving and very proud « DA » to his grandchildren,
Taylor Wood and Isaiah Hubley; brother-in-law, Frank McKearney (Jean);
sisters-in-law, Dianne MacKinnon (Halley) and Germaine McKearney-Doyle
(Willie); brother, Todd Hubley (Holly); sisters, June Hanson and
Cheryl LeBlanc (Keith); step-mother, Marg Hubley; nieces, nephews and
great nieces and great nephews.
Anyone who knew Da knew you
could find him on the golf course, at the camp or KFC on Twoonie
Tuesdays. Local sports, in Moncton, did not have a more loyal fan than
Ray. The stands at MHS and the Four Plex will be silenced without
Ray’s critiquing. He filled his days, since retirement,
having coffee with his buddies or dropping in to visit to get the
local gossip or brag about his grandkids. Any interaction with Da was
some form of an interrogation, from the heart, that we will now
forever miss.
