Obituary of Phyllis Savoy
Savoy, Phyllis Joan – 85 of Brookfield formerly of Five Mile River, NS passed away on March 9th, 2021 in Elk Court, Brookfield. Born in Five Mile River on July 25th, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Howard and Irene (MacDonald) Dickson.
Phyllis spent her working career at Crossley Carpets plant in Truro and later as a caregiver. She always looked forward to doing the lexicon, playing bingo and going for long drives.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Elk Court for their compassion and care for Phyllis during her residency.
She is survived by daughter Marlene Underwood, son Kevin (Anjanette) Underwood, adopted son John Tanner, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, son-in-law Blair Brown, sisters Mary, Gloria, Shelia, Brenda, Valerie, Sandra (Harlan), brothers Nelson (Donna), Myles (Bev) and many nieces and nephews.
Phyllis is predeceased by husband Basil, sons George and Sam, daughters Diane and Carol, brothers Tony and Victor. Sisters Karen and Hattie and one in infancy.
Cremation has taken place, there will be private family burial held in the Five Mile River Cemetery at a later date.
