1935 – 2021
Phyllis was called to heaven on March 22, 2021 with her family by her side.
Phyllis was born June 12, 1935 in Bruno, SK to William and Margaret Schlosser. Mom was given a challenge and a blessing being the only girl brought into a family with 6 brothers. Survived by her two brothers Alphonse and Reg and her sister in laws Annie, Irene and Eley. Phyllis grew up on the family farm and finished school in Bruno, she then moved to Saskatoon and worked many different jobs including Palm Dairy, RUH hospital and eventually completed her bookkeeping course at SBC. Phyllis went on to own her own business as a publisher of the Saskatoon HI-Lites Real estate magazine.
Phyllis met her life long friend Jim, they shared many trips and memories but the proudest accomplishment was having and raising their son Kelly together.
Mom enjoyed travelling the world and going on religious tours with Kelly, Father David and many special friends. She also enjoyed watching her first grandchild Aleina grow up into being a beautiful young lady. In moms last years she was pleased to welcome Karolina and her daughter Natalie, through marriage. The bond and friendship Karolina and mom had is lifelong. She loved that her grandson Karter became part of her life. She spent many times holding him and mentioning that he looked very much like Kelly with a kind heart to match.
Mom never complained and always put others first, her smile and loving nature will be missed but never forgotten.
Memorial donations in Phyliss’s name may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
A Celebration of Mom’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 30th, 2021 at 1:30pm at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church. Covid protocols are in place with a maximum of 150 people.
