Phyllis’ Obituary
Cameron, Phyllis – 82, Truro, formerly of Tatamagouche, passed away peacefully to join her beloved husband Ronald, on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro. Born in Tatamagouche, she was a daughter of the late Beldon and Grace (Moody) Joudrie. Phyllis spent most of her working years as a camp cook for Tide Water Construction. She cooked and baked for the Tatamagouche Minor Hockey Banquets, numerous restaurants, and at the Holiday Ranch. She worked at many church suppers and batches of her donuts were served at the Home Hardware open houses. There was always baking and meals ready for her visiting brood. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Canada Post delivering rural mail. Phyllis’ passion was minor hockey and with Ronald in tow she supported 3 generations of hockey players over 36 years. She was known in many rinks for her boisterous cheering and took her role as “assistant referee from the stands” very seriously. Phyllis was a lifelong member of Sedgwick Memorial Presbyterian Church, Tatamagouche. She is survived by her son, Michael (Debbie), 3 daughters, Lori Anne (Merle), Sandra (Geordie), Juanita (Frank), special nephew Curtis (Sheri); 12 grandchildren, Curtis (Terry Lyn), Colin (Janette), Paul, Terry (Lacey), Matthew, Nathaniel (Brittany), Zachary (Tiffany), Melissa (Nick), Frankie (Danika), Jason (Elizabeth), Courtney, Josie; 15 great-grandchildren; Jacob, Lillian, Briea, Shaila, Alexis, Mason, Kamyron, Bryson, Lunden, Kaylee, Cole, Declan, Denny, Emma, Amber; brothers, Trueman and Bill (Linda), sister, Jessie; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Ronald Eugene Cameron; brothers, Stanley, Rosevelt, Henry; sisters, Hilda, Viola, Clara. Phyllis and Ronald will be interred together with a private service at Forest Hill Cemetery, Denmark. Donations in memory may be made to the Forest Hill Cemetery, 1142 Upper River John Road, B0K1V0. The family would like to thank the staff of Cederstone Enhanced Care for all the care and compassion shown to Phyllis and her family over this past year.
