Philip Elvin Green
1951-2021
Rev. Philip Elvin Green of Jacksonville passed away on
Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in
Waterville. He was born August 5, 1951, and was the son of the late
Paul and Alta Green. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a
sister-in-law, Kim Green.
Philip is survived by his wife, Debbie Green of Jacksonville;
daughter, Joellen (Ray) Burrell of Kensington, PEI; grandchildren,
Chad (Jade Frost) Green of Meductic, Naomi (Taylor McConnell) Burrell
of Hinton, AB; great grandchildren, Elijah, Leo and Mila Green all of
Meductic; siblings, Jerry (Sharon) Green of Fredericton, Bobby Green
of Woodstock, Linda (Harold) Brooks of Divide, Darlene (Terry Graham)
Green of Woodstock, Michael (Shirley) Green of Hartland, Terry
(Pauline) Green of Hartland, Marguerite (Richard) Wortman of Hartland,
Doug (Sheila) Green of Vancouver, BC, Sandra Green of Fredericton,
Sherry (Doug) Kennedy of Woodstock, Susan (Pat) Gallivan of Woodstock;
several nieces and nephews.
Philip served as a Pastor in the Wesleyan Church and the
Church of the Nazarene for several years. He had a great passion for
cars and dogs, and often people would contact him for information
before buying a new car.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 20th from 6 to 8
p.m. at the Woodstock Wesleyan Church in Jacksonville. The funeral
service will be on Wednesday the 21st at 1:00 p.m. from the Wesleyan
Church with Pastor Dale MacDonald officiating. The interment will
follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Hartland. If so desired, donations
can be made to the Woodstock Wesleyan Church building fund.
