Peter Alexander Atherton
Born April 8, 1993, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021. Peter will be greatly missed by his parents, Paul Atherton, Jennifer Atherton (nee Cook) & Ramzi Mansour; His sister Molly Atherton; His grandparents, Jean & Claud Therrien, Peter John Atherton and Kathryn & Clair Cook; His step grandparents George and Lily Nakhleh; as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Peter had a big heart and was a loyal friend to many. He had the ability to make everyone around him feel comfortable, cared for and appreciated. His compassion for others and his willingness to go above and beyond for the people in his life will always be remembered. Peter had a special relationship with everyone he met, and he valued friendship over everything else.
Peter was a big dreamer and was tremendously ambitious. Even from a young age, it was clear to everyone who knew him that Peter’s aspiration in life was to be a successful business tycoon, as he was always working on his next big plan that would make him rich and successful. From the age of eight, Peter carried a briefcase to school and made a few bucks for himself by selling the other children Pokémon cards. In middle school he started his own soda pop selling business out of his school locker. As he got older he found a hobby in buying and selling car parts online and could be referred to as the ‘Kijiji Kingpin’, and most recently he threw all of his energy and focus into trading crypto currencies. He loved music and one of his favourite jobs (as he had many…) was DJ-ing weddings and events, and also just blaring music from his car speakers for the entire neighbourhood to hear.
Peter also loved making movies and short films and recorded a lot of funny moments of his teenage years on his beloved Blackberry phone camera. This giant teddy bear always dreamt of achieving success for the greater good of everyone in his life. He also loved working on his cars, going on camping trips, building computers, and hanging out with his friends. Peter had a vibrant, charismatic and compassionate spirit that will live on forever.
