Obituary of Peggy Lee Barclay
Peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Monday, October 4th, 2021; Peggy Lee Barclay (nee Dowding) of Strathroy passed away at the age of 68. Loving wife of the late Bradley Barclay for 34 years. Beloved mother of Jay Sandford (Julie Anderson) Katie (James) Adams and William (Amber) Barclay. Adored grandmother of Zach, Caelin, Reagan, Gage, Jaden, Cassie, Bethany, Johnny and Eli. Sister of John (Nancy) Larocque and Jim (Donna) Dowding. Special friend of Frank Muylaert. Forever remembered by her brother-in-law Charlie Ponts, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her parents Jack (1997) and Mary (2000) Dowding, son Jimmy Sandford (2005) and her sister Debbie Ponts (2013).
Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on Tuesday, October 12th, 2021 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the Funeral home on Wednesday, October 13th, 2021 with an interment to follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery.
