It is with great sadness that the family of Paul Mervin Forsey announce his sudden passing on his way home from his favorite fishing hole.
Paul was born at home to Lulu and Albert Forsey in Deer Lake, NL on March 3rs, 1962. On May 25th, 1985 Paul married Patsy James. They were blessed with two sons Albert and Alexander. Their life together began in Deer Lake, NL where Paul worked as a logger. During a slumping logging industry in 1994 Paul moved his family to Nanaimo, BC where he continued logging on the coast of BC. When logging slowed down in 1998 he didn’t waste time finding a new career in Fort McMurray, AB as supervisor of mining reclamation. Though his love for the woods did not end there. After the boys moved out Paul and Patsy moved back to Deer Lake, NL to build their dream life on property they bought years prior. During his time off he spent his days building their homestead and living his best life. When he wasn’t cutting wood he spent countless hours carving and building many things. When he needed a break from the wood he’d grab his fly rod, load up the dogs and head to Cloudy – the place he called Heaven on Earth. Life is good, he’d always say.
Paul was survived by his wife Patsy and their two children Albert (Karla-Rae) of Fort McMurray, (Alexander (Ginette) of Fort Mcmurray, and 5 grandchildren, Devyn, Jayden, Aeris, Cash and Maximus. His sister Alvina (Terry), Wilson, Lewis(Trudy), Lloyd (Sharon), Joan (Morieo) Shawn(Kayla) and Gail and numerous neices and nephews and extended family.
Paul was predeceased by his parents Albert and Lulu Forsey and his nephew Jason Pelley.
Visitation will take place from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel on Wednesday, July 28th,2021 for family at 2-4 and family and friends from 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 29th,2021 at 2:00pm. with Pastor Oxford officiating.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Canadian Wildlife Federation or plant a tree in Pauls memory.
