Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Joseph Armand Brisson in Penticton, British Columbia on November 27, 2021.
Born the youngest of eight in St. Paul, Alberta, Paul was raised in Coquitlam, British Columbia, and moved with his family to Penticton in 1994. There, he and his wife Karen built the life they dreamed of.
Paul was a kind, caring, and funny man who saw the best in all people. He had a kind and gentle spirit.
Paul worked proudly as a federal public servant for thirty-five years. He was devoted to serving his community and volunteered extensively to ensure kids had the opportunity to play sports. Through his work and volunteerism, he strove to create a society that provided for those in need and offered opportunity to all. He had a profound impact on many lives.
Paul enjoyed all kinds of sports and could often be found on the go around Penticton with a smile and a wave. He loved playing hockey, golf, curling, baseball, running and more.
He led a simple life enjoying and appreciating life’s simple pleasures and all the Okanagan had to offer. He loved making his home in Penticton and travelling with his family. Few wants, simple needs and an appreciation for everything he had was Paul’s secret to a happy, fulfilling life.
Paul took special pride in his children. He loved to be a part of their sports and activities and provided them with every opportunity imaginable. He was proud to see them grow into the people they have become, both with loving partners and fulfilling lives. They are his legacy. He will be watching over them for every step of their journeys.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of thirty-nine years, Karen, his children Michael (Lauren) and Rebecca (Marcus), grandson Weston, siblings Aline and Raymond, and many other family members. He is predeceased by his parents Arthur and Armande, siblings Armand, Omer, Florence, Marcel and Andre, and brothers in law, Albert Amyotte and Norman Langlois.
The family is grateful for the heartwarming friendship and support from the community in recent years. Penticton is a wonderful, tight-knit community. A gathering to remember Paul will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the www.pentictonminorhockey.com/info/ or secure.kidsportcanada.org/p2p/event/368222/en-CA
