Obituary
Please join in offering up praise and thanks to God for the life of Patricia Diane Barnum, who was released from her pain forever on the morning of March 19, 2021.
Pat was born in 1950 in London, Ontario, was a curious person who enjoyed politics, loved a good mystery, thrilled at complicated knitting patterns (let me finish this row!), hated having to rip it back, took joy at seeing her grandchildren grow, spent her career in Human Resources, and was an engaged parishioner at All Saints Anglican Cathedral in Edmonton. A quiet, compassionate, and profoundly wise woman, Pat will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by husband David, son Jeffery (Heather) Barnum of New York, daughter Heather (James) Taylor of Edmonton, grandchildren Daniel, Rebecca, Sophie, George, and Lucy, sister Carol (Barry) Bruce, brothers Bruce (Johanne) Summers and Brian (Heather) Summers, nephews, nieces, and grandnephews and nieces, and stepmother Dorothy.
The family is especially thankful to Dr. Anil Joy, Dr. Julia Chronopoulos, the staff at the Cross Cancer Institute, and the team on unit 9Y at the Edmonton General Continuing Care Center for their compassion and care.
In lieu of floral tributes, the family asks that donations be made to the All Saints Altar Guild (allsaintscathedral.ca – please note Altar Guild in the memo).
A Memorial Service will be livestreamed from All Saints Cathedral at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 30, 2021.
Please access the service through www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBO-JdkxU2E
A celebration of Pat’s life will be held later this year.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Patricia Pat Barnum 2021..
