It is with deepest sorrow the announcement of the passing of my beloved companion/spouse of 49 years. She passed away on Thursday, September 23 after a very brief hospital stay with cancer. She is survived by her spouse, Gerry Goodwin, and son John of Montreal, step children Susan Goodwin, Tim Goodwin, grandsons Ian, and Kyle Goodwin, and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents, Oliver and Muriel Howick (nee Cumpson), sisters Audrey Barton (Wray, deceased), Lois Davidson (Doug, deceased), brother Ray Howick (Eileen, deceased), and son Scott. She was a 28-year former employee of Union Gas. Her interests were knitting, reading, and spending Happy Hour at the trailer. In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated, and there will not be any service, or visitation. Smith Funeral Home will handle the request.
