Obituary
Noel Paul Louis Keenatch, better known as Uncle Lou, and to his friend, Lou; was born on December 15, 1941 in Big River, SK., to Dick and Mary (nee Bear) Keenatch. Dad took pride as a father, a moshum and a chapan, he enjoyed spending time with all of his grandchildren, and his great grandchildren. He had nicknames for them all. He enjoyed going to sundance ceremonies during the summer, and there he would meet up with his old buddies and he would make new ones. Noel was very well known to anyone and everyone. He was a comedian, and jokester. Everywhere he went he made friends along the way, young and old. His favourite passtime was bingo.
When Noel was younger, he was a hard worker. He met his first and only love, Margaret Crookedneck in June, 1968, and they have been inseparable ever since. They could never be apart from each other that long, they have been together for over 53 years, loving each other unconditionally.
He leaves to mourn: his loving wife, Margaret; his beautiful children, Allen Dumais, Beverly Crookedneck, Diane Waskewitch (Mervin), Verna Crookedneck (Bernie), and Marcella Crookedneck (Leon); his granddaughter/Baby girl, Katie Crookedneck (Derrick), his baby boy, Melvin Crookedneck (Velma), his sister, Veronica Duquette (William), his adopted sister, Joan Nelson; his 22 grandchildren; his 28 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives.
Noel is predeceased by: his parents, Dick and Mary Keenatch; his son, Noel Crookedneck (2013); his granddaughter, Shakira Crookedneck (2016); John Keenatch, and Rosemary Lachance.
