Bishop, Murray Francis
Nov. 9, 1940 ~ April 18, 2021
It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Murray at Headwaters Health Care Center on Sunday, April 18, 2021. He was a wonderful and devoted husband to his wife Alice; a loving father to Donna (Stephen) and James (Julie) and a loving step-father to Jeff (Courtney) and Janet (Andrew). He was a caring grandad to Dylan, Audrey, Hudson & Brooke and to his step-grandchildren Keith, Emily & Jocelyn. He leaves his sister Anne Romme (Henry) & his special friend & « adopted brother » Dennis Hutzul. Murray was the son of the late Gerald & Margaret Bishop of Halifax, N.S. He enjoyed his career as a Social Worker and was always concerned about the well being of others. The Knights of Columbus was dear to his heart over the years. He was the founding Grand Knight of Council 8851 at St. Timothy’s Parish in Orangeville, Ont. Murray will also be greatly missed by other relatives and many friends.
A Private Mass will be held at St. Timothy’s Roman Catholic Church on Friday, April 23, 2021, due to Covid restrictions. Video of Mass will be available to view after 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
Until we meet again,
« May The Good Lord Bless & Keep You ».
A tree will be planted in memory of Murray in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. The next annual dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
