Muriel Harriet (Crandall) Young
1937-2021
Muriel Harriet (Crandall) Young – 84,
formerly of Waterville, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 in
Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. Born in Kentville, she was
a daughter of the late Levi and Annie May (Keizer) Crandall. Muriel
was an avid gardener. She loved flowers, watching the birds and making
and painting ceramics. Muriel is survived by her daughters, Debbie
(Ron) Parker and Jerusha Young (Al Connor); sons, Paul, Tim (Robin),
Danny (Denise), Steven and Neal; brother, Earl Crandall; sister, Hazel
Melanson; sister-in-law, Lois Crandall; many grandchildren, several
great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. In addition to
her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Heather Crandall;
brothers, Howard, Willis and Raymond; and sisters, Joyce Pick and
Patricia Roy. Cremation has taken place. In keeping with
Muriel’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral
service at this time. A private family interment will take place in
Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville, Kings County, at a later date. The
family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to all the
staff at Evergreen Home for Special Care and Doctor Targett, for the
love and kindness they showed Muriel. You made a difference in her
last years. Donations in memory may be made to the Coldbrook
Baptist Church or Evergreen Home for Special Care –
Resident’s Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted
to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
