Peacefully at the Queensway Carleton Hospital after a brief illness, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Only child of the late John Robert Wallace and Elsie May Gladstone, Molly was predeceased by her beloved husband Gerry “Mick” Miller, cherished son Michael, and infant daughter Kathy. She leaves behind her loving daughter Debbie (Sam Smith), daughter-in-law Linda Miller (Barry Druce), grandson Connor Smith (Rosie Krause), grand-daughter Katie Miller-Spence (Matthew Spence), great grand-daughter Michelle Spence, and nieces Judy Navin and Joan Kurtz.
Molly enjoyed a long career in human resources and office administration; most notably during almost 20 years with the Royal Ottawa Hospital as Executive Assistant to the Director and later as Director of Volunteers prior to her retirement in 1986. She made friends as easily as most of us breathe – sharing her unique ability to start a conversation with anyone, anywhere, at any time and know their life story within 10 minutes.
Heartfelt thanks to the ACE and A4 unit staff at the Queensway Carleton Hospital for their loving care and for the time to say goodbye as the end drew near. In accordance with her wishes and current public health guidelines, there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation or the Ottawa Humane Society.
