Obituary of Monnah Marie Hovey
It is with great sadness that the family of Monnah Marie Hovey announce her passing at Fredericton Hospice House on Sunday, November 21, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer. Monnah was born on May 12, 1948, the daughter of Karl and Eunice (Palmer) Hovey.
Monnah is survived by her loving husband, George Miner of Yoho Lake, NB, where they lived and loved; her boys, Todd Brown of Noonan, NB and Corey O’Donnell (Shauna); grandson, Drake O’Donnell of McNamee, NB; step son, Dustin Miner (Kimberley); grandchildren, Lucus, Emily and Sarah of Burlington, ON; her siblings, Gordon Hovey (Shirley) of Yoho Lake, NB, Dave Hovey (Marilyn) of Cobourg, ON, Jeff Hovey (Sherry) of Vernon, BC and Carol Annette Guitard (Shane) of Fredericton, NB; special one and only niece, Sandra Chessell of Oakville, ON, and several nephews. In addition to her parents, Monnah was predeceased by her sister, Etta; brothers, Gerald and Cleveland Hovey.
We would like to thank the extra mural nurses, doctors, nurses and volunteers at Hospice House Fredericton for their excellent care.
There will be no visitation or funeral service by request. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Hospice Fredericton or the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
