Monica Kathleen Harpham, 1958-2021
The family of Monica Kathleen Harpham is saddened to announce her passing at Tisdale Hospital on July 28, 2021.
Monica was born on July 23, 1958 in Tisdale, Saskatchewan, to Harry and Lyla (Smith) Harpham. She was the youngest of four children. She grew up on the family farm and attended Eldersley School from grades one to five and then grades six to twelve in Tisdale.
After graduating high school, Monica starting working at Fripp Fibre Form until its closure in 1997. She made a lot of friends and was sad about moving on. However, this allowed her to explore different career paths, and Monica discovered that her passion was in helping others. This led her to take on a number of paid and volunteer positions, such as an independent living worker, coordinating the CHUMS program and TMSS lunch supervision.
Monica had a passion for many things including crocheting, crafting, and exotic chickens. She loved helping people and working with children; however, her greatest love was her family and friends.
Monica was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Lyla Harpham, her brother Austin, brother-in-law Ray, nephew Brett, and numerous aunts and uncles. Left to cherish her memory is her brother Cole, sister Wanda, nieces Raquel (Jason), Kealee (Tom) and Ashley, nephews Dustin (Angela), Heath (Sherry) and Corey (Beth), many great-nephews and great-nieces, numerous other relatives, and her beloved dog Ty. Monica will also be missed by the many friends she met on her life’s journey.
Wherever a beautiful soul has been there is a trail of beautiful memories.
At Monica’s request, there will be no service. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society as a token of remembrance.
