With broken hearts with his life gone far too soon, Michael Partridge passed away on December 23, 2021 just short of his 54th birthday. Born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Michael enjoyed many great summers growing up at his family cottage. He graduated from Western University with an Honours English degree and attended Teachers’ College at Lakehead University prior to launching his 28 year career as a teacher with the Sarnia-Lambton School Board teaching primarily at St. Clair High School. Michael loved all sports, especially the Tigers, and effectively channeled this passion by coaching hundreds of students as a dedicated coach of many sports, combining this love with education. He was keenly intelligent, an avid reader, unapologetically himself, had a great sense of humour and a gentle kindness.
Very much loved son of Rick & Heidi Partridge, adored and adoring brother of Kate Partridge, loving brother-in-law of Dylan, funniest and most admired uncle of Noel. He was a lifelong dear friend of Darius Naigamwalla and Peter Orr since high school. Michael will be missed more than words can say, one of a kind who cannot be replaced and our lives will never be the same without him.
Donations in his memory to the Sarnia or Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society would be appreciated (cheques only at the funeral home please). A private ceremony will be held at a later date at Canatara beach, where Mike was most content. Arrangements have been entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
