At home with his family by his side, on Thursday December 9, 2021, Metro « Matt » Holodniuk at the age of 96. Beloved husband and best friend of Doris (nee. Briggs). Cherished father of Arlene (late Wayne) Lazaruk, Linda (Bill) Parker, Dennis (Michelle) Holodniuk, Doug (Susan) Holodniuk. Loving grandfather of Patti (Dale), Matthew, Steven (Angie), Eric (Kiah and Aubrey), Megan (Brian), Leah, Mitch (Elora), Rachel (Nick), Alaina and great grandfather of Ava and Danica. Matt was predeceased by his parents William and Petrunka Holodniuk (nee. Moroz) and his siblings John, Olga, Nellie, Mary, Nick, and Minnie.
Friends are invited to call at BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, 315 Broad Street East, Dunnville on Monday 13, 2021 from 10:45 to 11:45am. A service will be held in the Chapel at 12pm with interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. (Those wishing to attend the visitation OR service must RSVP for each through the funeral home website. Masks are mandatory at all times while in the funeral home.) The chapel and graveside service will be livestreamed on the funeral home Facebook page and the funeral home website for those wishing to join the family in this way. In memory of Matt, donations to the Dunnville Hospital and Healthcare foundation would be appreciated by the family.
