Obituary of Mervin Larson
Mervin Larson
November 1, 1947~ May 9, 2021
Mervin Larson passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 9, 2021, at the age of 73. Mervin was born on November 1, 1947, in Kinistino, SK.
Mervin was a dedicated family man and loved spending time with his loved ones. He cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, laughing over family dinners and afternoons in the garden with his wife. When Merv wasn’t with this family you could find him on coffee row, having a “mud”, as he would say. He loved discussing the latest in farming, science, and of course, fast cars. Merv’s calm and compassionate spirit touched all those that met him. As a child, Merv went to school in Weldon, SK, and is the youngest of four children. Merv was a man of many skills and worked a series of jobs throughout the prairies before meeting Joan and settling in Prince Albert. Mervin and Joan were married in March of 1974 and had two sons, Duane and Bryan. Mervin will be deeply missed.
Merv is lovingly remembered by his loving wife of 47 years, Joan Larson; children Duane (Twyla) Larson and Bryan (Jessica) Larson; grandchildren Taylor and Drayden; sister Anna Roberston (nee Larson); and brother Glenn Larson.
Merv is predeceased by his parents Charlotte and Louis Larson; sister Betty Shore (nee Larson).
A special thanks to the care team at the Victoria Union Hospital for their tremendous care and attention.
In lieu of other tributes, donations in Merv’s memory may be made to Parkinson’s Canada, 110B – 2103 Airport Drive, Saskatoon, SK S7L 6W2.
