Menary, William Robert ‘Roy’

Peacefully went to be with his Lord on the evening of Thursday, October 21, 2021, with his family at his side. Beloved husband of Carolyn Menary. Dear father of Dianne Lutzak and her husband, Steve, of Brentwood, Tennessee, and Ruth Cole and her husband, Tim, of Shreveport, Louisiana. Loving grandfather of Claire and Meredith Lutzak, Elizabeth and Gillian Cole. Dear brother of Laura Black and her husband, Desmond, of Northern Ireland. Preceded in death by his loving wife Josephine “Jo” Menary. Roy was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland on November 5, 1937 and emigrated to Canada with his wife and daughters in 1971. Roy had the honour of serving as a police officer in both Northern Ireland and London, and retired from the London Police Force in 1997. He spent many retirement years enjoying winters in Florida and visiting his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by the many friends and family members whose lives he touched. His family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation for the compassionate care Roy received from the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice. Visitation will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Registration will be required to attend the visitation.
