Swinson, Mary (née Goselin) – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mary Beatrice Lillian Swinson on Monday, December 27, 2021 in her 101st year. Predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Beatrice Goselin. Loving wife of the late Wes Swinson (1991). Dear sister of the late Marjorie Crawford, and aunt of the late Jerry (survived by Brenda), and Johnny (Joanne). Beloved mother of Jim (Denise and the late Ila) and Carol Jarvis (Al). Grandmother of Rita Swinson, Robyn Burgoyne (Ross), Wes Swinson (Kim), and the late Paulette Swinson. Great Grandmother of Ashley Prentice (Paul), Kris Kent (Katie), Nathan Francey (Samantha), Cassandra Jordan (Zachary), and Alexis Jordan (Spencer). Great-great Grandmother of Madelyn, Payton, Everleigh, Ryker, and Kaiya. A special thank-you to the Douglass family who showed such kindness and care to their Aunt Mary. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Thank you to the staff of Hope Street Terrace, Port Hope for the care that Mary received. Visitation will be held at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Friday, December 31st from 2:00p.m. until 3:30p.m. with a service to follow in the Chapel. A private family interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
