It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of the late Mary Maria Fiander of Richard’s Harbour announce her passing at Moncton Hospital on Friday, April 2, 2021 at the age of 87.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her daughters; Sharon Piercey (James Thorne) of Fortune, Elizabeth Piercey of Moncton, Deborah Piercey (Brian Reid) of Mount Pearl and Glenda Piercey (John Leroux) of St. John’s; brother, Jim Piercey; sisters in-law, Edith and Laura; 7 grandchildren, Reginald Piercey, Shane Thorne, Michael Simms, Jeremy Hill, Jason Hill, Mitchell Harris and Martina Harris; 2 great-grandchildren, Jakob Hill and Owen Piercey; plus a large circle of relatives and friends.
Mary was pre-deceased by her loving husbands, Reginald Piercey and Goodwin Fiander; companion, Earl Wells; sons, Donald Allan Piercey and Baby Piercey; parents, William and May Lillian Piercey; sisters, Caroline (Reginald), Rosie (George), Charlotte Mary and Maude (Washburn); brothers, Wilson, William, Montford (Georgina), Simeon and Frank; sisters in-law, Hilda (Robert), Olive (Elias) and Jenny (Jesse); brothers in-law, Freeman (Beatrice) and Chesley (Violet)
Cremation has already taken place.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at 11:00 am at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Fortune. As per COVID 19 regulations, everyone is asked to sign the contact tracing sheet upon entering the building and masks are required.
Interment will follow at the All Saint’s Anglican Cemetery, Fortune.
