On October 14, 2021, Mary Lawrance (Loszchuk) of Duncan, BC, passed from life into eternal life. She was 68 years old.
Mary was predeceased by her parents Felix Loszchuk and Mary Raczynskii (Loszchuk) of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. She was survived her siblings Gerry Daniels [Remi Daniel] and three children, Ken Loszchuk [Leona Leveques] and their two children, Patricia Stopanski (Pete Stopanski) and their four children, Karen Wiggens [Bill Wiggins]and their two children, Teresa Loszhuk [died shortly after birth], and Tom Loszchuk [Christina] and his 4 children.
Mary was born on June 28, 1953 in Filmore, Sask. She graduated from St Mary’s High School in 1972. She married Graden McLeod in Prince Albert, SK on March 4, 1972. They had three children Branin McLeod (Calmar, AB), Morgan McLeod (Ladysmith, BC) and Kent McLeod [Laurie Woodward] Laurie was pregnant with Mary’s first grandchild at the time of Mary’s death (Halifax, NS), Mary was a very compassionate, supportive and hard working mother. Deeply loved by her children.
Mary married Bill Lawrence of Duncan, BC in 2008 and she was a wonderful step-mother to Eric Lawrance (Duncan, BC) and step-daughter Denise Lawrance (Victoria, BC). Mary and Bill shared a love for bird watching, gardening and travelling in their RV all over Canada and the US in their retirement years.
Mary retired from the Municipality of North Cowichan after 23 years of service in 2016, where she was the Storeskeeper for the Public Works Department.
Mary was a very private person, but to those that knew her, she was cheerful, generous and kind person and a devout Christian. She had a great love for nature and eating healthy. She poured out acts of love for her friends, family and community. She donated her time and money to the Soup Kitchen on Garden St, Salvation Army, The Sassy Lion, and the Cowichan Hospital Woman’s Auxiliary.
Her funeral will be held at Mountain View Cemetery at 6493 Somenos Road Duncan, BC on Friday, Oct 22, 2021 at 10 am. All are welcome.
Her Celebration of Life will be held at H.W. Wallace Funeral Home at 5285 Polkey Road Duncan, BC on Friday Oct 22, 2021, after the funeral at 11 am to 1 pm. If you have any questions please feel free to contact her husband or children for more information.

We take comfort that our mother is now with the Lord, but she was taken far too soon. She will be greatly missed.
