Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Mary Evelyn Sayer (Hongie) on Saturday December 4, 2021. Evelyn was born on April 29, 1948 in Lestock, SK. She was predeceased her parents: Louis Sayer and Jean Hunter; her husband Frank Scherle; brothers: Joseph and Henry; sisters: Elizabeth, Mary and Katherine and by her son, Sidney.
Evelyn leaves to mourn her 3 sons: Les (Marlene), Lyle (Tina) and Lawrence (Mindy); her special baby who she raised, Jeremiah Pelletier; her 6 grandchildren: Brittany, Sidney, Frank, Leslie, Lawerence and Tia; brother David and sister, Stella; the 2 mothers of her grandchildren: Loreta Nyland and Donna Pelletier.
The Wake Service will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 4:00 pm from Muskowekwan Band Hall, Muskowekwan First Nation SK. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 11:00 am from the Muskowekwan Band Hall, Muskowekwan First Nation SK. Evelyn will be laid to rest at the Lestock Cemetery, Lestock, SK.
