Edna was born November 22, 1933 in Lennox Passage to the late Robert and Barbara LeLacheur. She worked as a chambermaid at an early age, until she married the love of her life Allan.
She adored being a mother and a wife. Some of Edna’s favorite past times were but not limited to; knitting, sewing, crocheting, cooking, baking, reading stories to the children, playing bingo, gardening, feeding the humming birds, and caring for her fury friends. She loved family get togethers where she was surrounded by her friends and family whom she cherished. Enda was was full of life and she could crack out a Kitty Wells songs at anytime. We bet she’s singing Honky Tonk Angels with the angels above. Edna came to enjoy drives with her daughter Evelyn and playing her games in the evening, her fondest establishment to do so was Dooly’s where she adopted more into her family. She savored the moments she spent dipping her feet in the water of Dundee beach, as it was her and her late husband’s favorite place. Though, above all, spending time with her treasured family was what gave her the most joy in life.
The family of the late Edna MacRae “Mommie” would like to send a special Thank you to all of her Doctors, Nurses and care staff that cared for and supported her through the later part of her journey. Also, to her daughter Evelyn for being not only her daughter but her friend, her comfort, her advocate and her nurse; with strength and compassion she stood by her every step of the way, providing nothing but the most tender and nurturing care possible.
