Obituary
Mary went by her middle name Dorothy, she was born March 17, 1941, to the parents John James Shorting and Mariann McLean and was 80 years old at the time of her passing. She was born in Fairford, Manitoba but lived in Winnipeg most of her life.
She was a very hard worker and worked as a seamstress most of her life.
She is survived by her children; daughter Adrienne and long-time friend Eugene, son Mike Sanderson (Linda) son Conrad Sanderson and son Ronald Sanderson (Vera); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, her special grandchildren Fabian Blackhawk, Kelly Sanderson, Jordan Sanderson and Anthony King whom she adored;her brothers Brian Shorting (Muriel)and Hamilton Shorting (Christine) Earl Sinclair and sisters Wilma Prince (Clements) and Donna Camire. As well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Mary was predeceased by brothers Allan, Jack, Lambert, Steve, Dennis and Johnny Shorting.
Funeral services for Dorothy Garceau will be held at Eternal Grace on Saturday August 21, 2021, from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. As per her wishes she will be cremated and will not be having a viewing.
