Peacefully, at home, on Friday, December 17, 2021. Beloved husband of Holly Botner for thirty-four years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Jared and Cecilia Simms, Erin Simms and Bill Holderman, Adrianne Rubenstein and Jake Head, and Andrew Simms. Dear son of Jacques and the late Sara Simms. Cherished ‘Abuelo’ of Damian Simms and newborn Ziggy Head. Loving brother and brother-in-law of Joel and Marleine Simms, Maury and Terri Simms, Lois and Gary Alexander; and brother-in-law of Julia and George Richardson, and Eric Botner. Marvin led a full and blessed life filled with love for his family and friends. He devoted himself to his children and reaped the rewards of close bonds. Building a successful business with both his sons, traveling, golfing, biking, hockey, Formula One, music and family celebrations were the things he cherished most. Marvin was a man who put others first until the very last moment. It was his greatest joy. Everyone who knew him loved him and he will forever be a role model to his children. Heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Lung Cancer Department at the Jewish General Hospital. A private funeral to take place. Shiva strictly private.
