Martin’s Obituary
SIMPSON, Martin Lonnie – 54, of Clyde River, passed away suddenly at home on Monday, December 27, 2021. Born on May 17, 1967, he was the son of the late Lonnie Simpson and Marinda (Penney) Simpson. Marty worked most of his life on the water, lobster fishing in the winter and spring season and summer fishing. Marty enjoyed playing golf and deer hunting. He loved being in the woods cutting firewood and rabbit hunting. In his younger years he coached his boys in baseball. He enjoyed travelling and loved going to concerts. Marty is survived by his common-law wife, Stephanie Decker, of six years, his mother, Marinda; three sons, Jesse (Anita), Brandon, and Brogan; his brother, Joey (Sherri); three nephews; grandsons, Jaxon, Ryder; and step-daughter, Hannah. Besides his father, Lonnie, he was predeceased by his younger brother, Calvin. Arrangements are under the care and direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Barrington. Cremation has taken place and at Marty’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. No flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made to the Yarmouth Hospital Dialysis Unit.
