Marjorie Viola Benedict
1932-2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the
passing of Marjorie Viola (Faulkner) Benedict, age 89, of
Lockhartville. She was a daughter of the late Frank and Alma (Morgan)
Faulkner. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Benedict;
grandson, Andrew Power; son-in-law, Robert Power; brother, Frederick
Faulkner; brothers-in-law, Ronald Clark and David Doyle; and
sister-in-law, Joan Faulkner. She is survived by her daughters:
Theresa Power, granddaughter Anne Power; Cindy Benedict (Terry Ross,
deceased); and Mary (Marc) Godfrey, granddaughter Melissa Godfrey,
great-grandson Hunter, and grandson Nicholas (Brooke) Godfrey,
great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Emma and Ryan. She is also survived by
her brothers, Johnny (Mary) Faulkner and Gary (Pat) Faulkner; sisters,
Shirley Clark and Mary Doyle.
Cremation has taken place and a funeral service
will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 22, 2021 in St.
Andrew’s Anglican Church, Hantsport. Reverend Tom Henderson
and Reverend Edwin Ebsary officiating. Interment will take place in
St. George’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Falmouth.
In accordance with the Nova Scotia Proof
of Full Vaccination Policy, proof of full vaccination and masks will
be required. A video webcast of the service will be available on
Tuesday, November 23, 2021. Donations in
memory may be made to St. Andrew’s Anglican Church. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the
White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. For
