BOWLES, Marjorie, 84 a resident of Greenwood Court, Stratford Ontario, passed away suddenly in Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, December 23, 2021.
She was born in Mornington Township, Perth County on May 10, 1937 a daughter of the late Clayton and Mattie (Gerber) Leis.
She had been a cashier at A & P Groceries in Woodstock and Stratford. She had been an active attender at Faithway Baptist Church in Woodstock and Avon Mennonite Church in Stratford.
Marjorie married Douglas Edward Bowles at Poole Mennonite Church on January 30, 1959. He predeceased her on February 4, 2018.
She is survived by four children, Gerald Bowles (Mary Ann) of Bayfield, Evonne Musselman (Paul) of R.R. 1, Stratford; Stephen Bowles (Debi) of Oxford Centre, Brenda Huber (Jonathan) of Gadshill; sixteen grandchildren, Jordon Bowles (Tonya), Jason Bowles (Trish), Justin Bowles (Jessica), Jeffrey Musselman (Karen), Joshua Musselman, Jenna Loree (Mike), Tyler Bowles (Emily), Aaron Bowles (Courtney), Katelyn Hiiuvain (Mark Johnson), Kristen Hiiuvain, Victoria Hiiuvain, Deanna Hiiuvain, Richard Huber (Vanessa), Terri Huber, Kristy Huber and Victoria Huber; thirteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Kropf (Howard) and Laurene Wilhelm (Bruce), her friends at Greenwood Court, and her special friend, Erma Meadows, who was like a sister to her.
She as predeceased by brothers and wives, Albert Leis (Sandra), Edmund Leis (Lydiann) and a brother in infancy.
A celebration of Marjorie’s life and interment in South Easthope Cemetery, Shakespeare will be in the spring of 2022.
