Marion Effie “Tippy” Mason
87, of Upper Tantallon, It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and sister Tippy on Dec 28, 2020. Tippy was the daughter of the late William and Mary Jane (née Brett) Peters. She is predeceased by her husband, Carrol; sister, Patricia Clark; brothers, William and Donald; brothers-in-law, Gordon, Peter Duff, James Costen and his wife Marty; sister-in-law, Marion and her husband Vincent Smith and one niece and nephew. She is survived by her children, David, Upper Tantallon; Mary Anne, Hamilton, Ont.; Sandra (Steven), Dartmouth; sisters, Carol (Byron) Moser, Glen Margaret;, Janet (Robert) Smith, Waverley; brothers-in-law, Allan Clark, Dartmouth and Malcolm (Judy) Duff, Tennesse;, sisters-in-law, Diane Peters, Halifax; Viola Mason, Kanata, Ont.; eleven nephews and nine nieces.
Tippy grew up in Dartmouth, attended secretarial academy and worked as a stenographer for Workman’s Compensation. She met and married Carrol Mason and they made a home in Upper Tantallon. She was a dedicated parishioner of St. Margaret’s Anglican Church and served many years as Church Treasurer. Tippy loved reading and needlework.
