Obituary of Marina Benoit
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we say goodbye to our loving, wife, mother, and grandmother, Marina Benoit, after a short battle with cancer. Marina passed away, at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on January 12 at 7:46 am with her loving family by her side. Left with treasured memories, her devoted husband of 65 years, Thomas; sons, Dana (Patti), Darrell (Roselyn); daughters, Karen (David), Jeannine (Raymond), Tara (Greg); grandchildren, Kim, Danielle, Bobbi, Morgan, Julia, Blaire, Jenna, and Taylor and great grandchildren, Mia, Jorja, Thomas, Ivy, Dana and Lily, a large circle of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was predeceased by parents, Cornelius and Annabelle (nee Coleman) Walters, sisters, Alma (Charlie) Billard, Carrie Mills, Irene (Robert) McPhee, Jessie Sharp, Alvina (Walter) Hayman, Leah (Winter) Scott, Valetha (Ted) Bullen; brother, John (Emma) Walters. Heartfelt thanks to Shannon O’Quinn, her caregiver for the past year and half and Dr. David Blecher. To the nurses of Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre, who cared for Marina in her final days, you are truly earth’s angels and your compassion is appreciated beyond words. Cremation has taken place as per Marina’s wishes. Visitations and funeral service will take place at a later date. Marina was a strong willed lady who took charge at any event, she was always the one to take care of the sick, to always be a phone call away, ready to help. She lived her life to the fullest, loved spending time with family and friends. She loved playing cards. She will be forever loved and missed. Donations can be made to the family.
