Obituary of Maria (Mary) Hontscharuk
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our family’s Mother, Maria (Mary). Wife of predeceased husband William, mother of her 2 boys Adrian and Eugene (Natalie), grandmother of Rayisa (Ryan), Matthew (Elizabeth) and Olena (James). Great grandmother of Lukas and Matthew Gonsalves, Christian, Michael and Nicholas Hontscharuk and Olive and Pearl Buchanan.
She was truly a strong-willed woman and leader of her family. Always a patron of the arts and music. Embraced her Ukrainian heritage and passed it on to her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Vichnaya Pamyat.
Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m with Panachyda being held at 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, to attend the visitation and/or service relatives and friends must register by calling the funeral home at 519-745-8445.
