It is with deep sadness that family and friends mourn the recent passing of Maria Helen Woodman (nee Cschi) after a five-month battle with cancer.
Maria Woodman is survived by her loving husband Wade Woodman, her mother Maria (Zoltan) Kiss, her father Anthony (Yvonne) Cschi, brother Joe (Michelle) Bognar, her only child, Steven (Christina) Poitras and her four grandsons, Caleb, Jayden, Ethan and Ryder. Maria was predeceased by her stepfather, Steven (Istvan) Bognar.
Maria was born in Budapest, Hungary and shortly after her birth moved to Australia until 10 years of age. She lived in Hamilton, Ontario until she moved out west where she lived most of her life until her passing in Castlegar B.C.
Maria’s talents, skills and attainments rivalled Martha Stewart in every category ranging all aspects of visual arts, culinary prowess, horticulture, construction, renovation to include tiling and flooring, and even the healing arts. She was a tour deforce.
Everyone who’s path Maria graced were blessed to have her in their lives. Maria Helen Woodman will be forever loved and forever cherished.
A special thank you for the Local Community Home Care team that helped Maria & I at home and all Trail Hospital Staff Especially Unit 300.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Calgary, Alberta.
