It is with very heavy hearts we announce the passing of Maria Isabel De Nobrega on September 6, 2021. She passed peacefully at Kensington Hospice with family by her side, comforting her and holding her hands.
Maria Isabel will now be reunited with her beloved husband of 41 years, Jose Clemente. She will forever be lovingly remembered by her daughter Laurinda and her husband John, and her son John and his wife Melissa. She will be dearly missed by her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
She had many interests, and loved singing, dancing, playing cards, travelling, and taking part in Canadian Madeira Club Festas. She had a deep faith and enjoyed attending Mass at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. She was a lifelong learner and never stopped striving to build her already impressive English vocabulary. She always looked forward to long walks with her dear nieces Deolinda and Fernanda. Her large circle of family and friends brought her great joy and she felt blessed that so many cared and watched out for her.

will give us some protection forever.
Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave., W.) on Sunday, September 12th, 2021 from 3-7 p.m. Funeral Details for Monday, September 13th, will be confirmed at a later time.
Burial to follow at Prospect Cemetery (1450 St. Clair Ave., W., east of Caledonia Rd.)
