Marguerite Eva Thornton
1941-2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Marguerite Eva Thornton,
wife of Arden Thornton, of Central Waterville, NB announce her passing
on October 10, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was
born at Millville, NB in 1941, a daughter of the late Malcolm and
Elizabeth Meade. Marguerite was a member of the United Pentecost
Church for forty five years and was faithful to her church and her
God. She enjoyed road trips with family and friends and loved her
husband, children and grandchildren unconditionally.
She is survived by her husband Arden; her children, Cordell Thornton
(Michelle), Deanna Thornton, Sherry Thornton, Michael Thornton
(Marina) and Nicole Hanscomb (Darrell), her grandchildren, Joshua
(Tina), Melissa (Brad), Joseph (Brandi), Brandon (Kelsie), Tristan,
Rachael (Jason), Justin, Katlyn (Alex), Tony, Ashley (Matt), Samantha
(Seb), Michael, Anthony and Alicia; several great grandchildren; her
sister, Joanne Blaney; sisters-in-law, Gwen Christie, Delores Kaley,
Edith Lyon (Wilson) and Pat Thornton; a brother-in-law, Delmont
Thornton and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Marguerite was predeceased by a son Tony,
a granddaughter Cassandra Long, a grandson Kyle Bragdon, a sister Jean
Meade and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law in the Thornton
family.
Visiting hours for friends and family will be held at Flewelling
Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Wednesday, October 13,
2021 from 12 noon until 2 p.m. A private funeral service will be held
with Rev. Wayne Schriver and Rev. Ralph Fowler officiating. Due to
Covid restrictions, social distancing, masks and proof of full
vaccination will be required of those attending. Interment will take
place in Central Waterville Cemetery.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Marguerite, the
family has suggested the Central Waterville Cemetery.
